Arch-Con welcomes vice president to Healthcare and Corporate Interiors Divisions
HOUSTON (October 25, 2024) – Arch-Con® Corporation’s Healthcare Division has built nearly 200 healthcare projects over the last decade, the majority being medical office build-outs, and averages three to four ground-up medical office building projects each year. Our Corporate Interiors Division has delivered 135 corporate interiors projects totaling 1.3 million square feet in the last decade. With this specialized healthcare and interiors focus, we looked to a niche leader. Enter Robert Fortney to serve as vice president of our Healthcare and Corporate Interiors Divisions.
“Robert will be a valuable contributor to our strong divisional teams,” Arch-Con Founder and CEO Michael G. Scheurich said. “He has a wonderful demeanor that our clients and construction partners deserve and respect.”
With more than 15 years of experience and 80% of his career dedicated to healthcare and interiors, Fortney will lead business development and oversee estimating and the successful completion of projects. At an early age, Fortney had a passion for construction building fences and barns at his grandparents’ ranch. He always knew he wanted to work in construction.
“I have experience in building just about anything,” Fortney said. “My goal is to deliver quality results the first time. I enjoy aligning with the vision and goals of clients on every project I build.”
A lifelong Houstonian, Fortney paid his way through college working in construction and graduated early with a bachelor of science in Construction Managment from Sam Houston State University. He enjoys working with diverse and talented teams and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful project execution.
“I’m excited to finally join Arch-Con, a company I have had my eye on for quite some time,” Fortney said. “And after joining, I’m even more impressed with the organization, proactivity and logical use of technology to make life easier. It really blew me away. It is good timing.”
