Project Sierra is a 655,200-square-foot rail-fed industrial facility developed by Trammell Crow Companies for The Home Depot. Designed by MAA Architects, the project is located on 59 acres within the Port of Stockton and will consist of rail service into the building to handle bulk and oversized deliveries. The project also consists of a rail service to a 288,264-square-foot outdoor storage yard. The facilities material handling equipment (MHE) will be fueled by a Plug Power hydrogen system with dispensers located throughout the building. The site will consist of a guard shack to manage deliveries, a pump-house and a 160,000-gallon welded fire tank to support the building’s fire suppression system, a truck scale, and a tarping structure for deliveries. This is the Arch-Con Corporation’s fifth distribution center for The Home Depot.
